Hector Canonge UNCOVERED Project

About:
CAVEA explores themes of physical displacement and psychological entrapment as expressed in narratives some of which are inspired by the participation of the public.

Description:
CAVEA is a multimedia installation and performance based on Canonge’s recent project Golden Cage, presented at Y Gallery, where the artist created immigrant narratives while inside a luminous cage for 7 days, 3 hours every day. For the exhibition (dis)located at the gallery space of Art for Change, Canonge will explore themes of displacement and psychological entrapment by writing and reciting his own narratives at the opening and closing of the event..

Documentation:
The following is a documentation of the project presented in the (Dis)Located Exhibition at Art For Change, El Barrio, NYC, in the Spring 2011. Gallery's Website
