In celebration of Waterpod's last week, and its docking at the Queens' historical marina, the artist was invited to participate in the creation of a project. Working directly with Ian Daniels, curator of Waterpod™, Canonge created "LATITUDE . S," a walk-performance with public workshops, and live outdoor projections where narratives based on the writings of Latin American authors exploring Utopias are mixed with real time people's presence while visiting the Pod.
DESCRIPTION & FUNCTIONALITY:
"LATITUDE .S" evening outdoor live projection mixing Latin American narratives about utopic worlds and people's interaction at Waterpod.
LATITUDE . S was made possible, in part by QMAD, Queens Media Arts Development. Additional support from Queens Museum of Art.
